# Sero - Development Spec & Budget ## Stack: Since this will be the first point of contact for most people joining the Pokt ecosystem it's important to use a simple, easy to maintain low/no-code platform anyone can contribute to (blogging/simple content). For this reason I'd highly recommend the following: - Webflow: Given that this proposal covers a new landing / marketing site, Webflow covers most of what you'd need out the box. It is relatively easy to maintain and has built in SEO advantages over most site builders. It does however have the same issue as most no-code site builders in that you're locked into doing things their way, mostly. Client & team meetings: 5 hours This factors in any meetings we'd need to have between design team, any status updates and feedback requests during development --- #### 2. Home Page - 20 Hours It's important to perfect this page, as it's a visitors first view into the Pokt ecosystem. Following Safe & Alchemy's landing page design. we'd spend the most time here, collecting and visualising data and statistics around Pokt from Poktscan and other relevant resources. We would also want to link the homepage to relevant dynamic data, such as news/tweets, etc.. --- #### 3. Building 4 static pages - 20 hours - About / Run Nodes / Presskit / Contribute pages Time spent here collecting relevant content, links and visual assets, following standard practices in development for the pages, ensuring all the links and content are well formatted, dynamic and logically lead potential developers/contributors/investors where they need to go with minimum friction. --- #### 4. Blog Section - 20 hours - Blog CMS research, prep, build and documentation based on meeting with Pokt team to create a spec then porting over all the existing blog content, and fitting it into the new CMS data structure - Blog Landing page A feed of the latest blog content, sorted manually or based on views/interactions of timestamps. This page will read the collection content for blogs and display them based on the design provided by the team. - Single Blog CMS & Page This will include creating a datastructure for our single blog pages as well as the relevant forms for new blogs to be added by the Pokt team later on. Then displaying the data based on the designs provided. Also altering the display Head for posting a Pokt Blog to any platform. - Search blog system This will catagorise the blogs by tags, and allow for easy search and filteration of blogs. --- #### 5. 1 week review and amendments - 20 hours - Meet with the Pokt team provide relevant documentation and status updates, document issues, ammendments and additions requested by the Pokt team. Apply ammendments/additions. ### Total cost for building new Pokt site with Webflow - Hours spent: 85 @ 75$ per hour - Total cost: 6375$ ---------------------------- ## Additional Optional work: Self hosting the Webflow UI means we will need to research, spec out and build a custom CMS with a third party provider, this will mean we have full control over the code and we wouldn't be stuck paying webflow on a monthly basis.
