Complete the checklist by adding information to Upe and attending community meetups.
First and foremost, create a local community of do-gooders.
Our core mission is to aggregate and publicly share useful, real-time information about our community.
As Eggs, you are the curators and stewards of local infomation. Eggs are rewarded with fun parties and points, which can be cashed in for prizes in the Community Chest.
Upe is a public good and is funded by community members and grants.
A public good is a product or service that provides benefit to all members of society.
Upe provides a public good by making hyperlocal information available to everyone online.
Support and incentivize do-good locals who contribute to the betterment of the community (and who more than likely support your business already).
Instead of donating cash, gift certificates allow you to leverage your product as a benefit to motivate your community to do more.
Each contribution to the Community Chest is an opportunity to advertise to and make your regular local customers happy, and maybe even gain a few new ones.
Contributors' business will be a stop on Upe's upcoming Community Scavenger Hunt in Season 3. Your business and Upe with partner up to come up with an action for participants to do: come to an event, enjoy a beverage or meal etc.
