## Introduction
The NFT Yearbook blends the digital and tangible, creating a unique crossroads of NFT and physical artifact. Spanning 420 pages and tipping the scales at 6.9 pounds, it offers a deep dive into the world of NFTs. It distills 750 hours of recorded interviews into a compendium featuring 550 contributors, making it the most expansive, democratically curated chronicle of the NFT space ever devised.
**In our V2 proposal, fortified by the backing of the NounsDAO, we're striving to solidify our community-driven narrative of Web 3. We have traced this journey from its inception through 2022, and will create an exclusive Nounish NFT Yearbook in 169 of the most prestigious libraries and archives globally.**
We firmly believe that the NFT Yearbook is more than just a resource — it represents a significant milestone in the history and future of Web 3.
**With the unwavering support of the DAO, we're committed to securing its place in the most influential institutions worldwide with a Nounish cover, an opening 8-page chapter on NOUNS DAO and it's sub DAO's, and the exclusive "centerfold" pages, a perfect spot for a pair of noggles.**

## We propose
**1)** To commission the **printing of 169 NFT Yearbooks, each featuring the unique NOUNS cover produced by a Prop House round.**
**2)** To include **an 8-page Nouns-dedicated opening chapter in these 169 books. The chapter will comprise a one-page overview of the DAO, Nounish in style, and seven pages spotlighting pivotal executed props and their impacts.** The DAO will vote on the highlighted props, and the proposers will contribute to the content through collaborative commentary.
**3)** **To donate and strategically place these 169 custom Nouns DAO NFT Yearbooks in key libraries and museumes WORLDWIDE, such as Harvard and HBS, which has already added two NFT Yearbooks to its permanent archives.** These institutions will receive the books free of charge, and we'll offer assistance in setting up wallets should they express interest in the NFT-linked version of their book. List of libraries:[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FpFBXruE-66dVntWsqpNkX_zcOjDECIA1fPxhKTjU2o/edit]
**4)** To continue content creation in collaboration with the book-receiving organizations. This may manifest in the form of audio or micro-content, capturing the unpacking and placement of the book, engaging with the community, and highlighting the far-reaching distribution of Nouns love globally.
**5)** Furthermore, we plan to **feature Nouns Noggles, complete with NOUNS DAO informative pages, in all NFT Yearbooks—including the 1279 public mint copies and 78 unique 1/1 artists editions on SuperRare.** This content will take center stage, positioned in the coveted "centerfold" double-page slot. Noggles will be front and center, becoming the heart of every Yearbook.
**6)** **Refund** If we fail to deliver and are unsuccessful in placing the 169 Nounish Yearbooks worldwide by Q1 2024, we commit to refunding the remaining value of the books directly to the DAO's treasury.
**7)** **Open-source free tools** - We will provide the Nouns DAO community with priority access to our open-source 3D book creation software. This tool empowers artists and authors to craft immersive, interactive books, transforming their narratives into engaging three-dimensional experiences.
**By integrating NOUNS DAO into this monumental chronicle and underwriting the distribution of 169 copies to key libraries worldwide, we're doing more than just acknowledging the substantial influence of the DAO and its members on the terrain of web3.** Indeed, we're advancing our dedication to championing diversity, equality, and inclusivity. It goes beyond mere recognition—it's a vivid embodiment of our unflagging commitment to weave a narrative of the web3 universe that is propelled by the community.
This is more than just a yearbook; it's a testament to the collective power of our community, and a beacon lighting the way to the future of the digital world. The story of web3 is ours to tell, and through this initiative, we're giving voice to the diverse chorus of individuals who are shaping this narrative.
0.1195 Ξ per book (same as the public mint price) * 169 books, and a 3 Ξ commission for Prop house:
The total cost for this proposal is 23.1955 Ξ
## Important Clarifications(!)
- **Our primary collection of NFT Yearbooks has already seen 1279 units minted out of the total 3000, to date. These books, which were entirely community-funded through pre-order minting, are nearing the final stages of printing and shipping—this will proceed irrespective of this proposal. It's important to note that the aim of this proposal is not to aid in the printing and delivery of the book to our community.**
- Weighing in at a hefty 6.9 lbs (~3.13kg), the book's global shipping from our printing house can cost up to $150 per unit, contingent on the destination.
- The proposal, in essence, is designed to fund through Prop House a uniquely Nounish cover design, the printing of the books, communication with 169 individual institutions, and the delivery of the books to these locations.

## Milestones
Outlined below are our specific goals and milestones:
1. **Design** the Nouns cover for the NFT Yearbook: Initiate a funding round on Prop House to create a Nouns-inspired cover for the NFT Yearbook, subject to Nouns community voting.
2. **Production:** After the conclusion of the Nouns cover funding round, we'll proceed with adding an 8-page dedicated Nouns opening chapter to the 169 books, along with the NOUNS Centerfold spot!
3. **Distribution:** Once the Nouns cover Yearbooks are printed, we'll manage distribution and foster connections with 169 entities (note: Harvard Business School has already secured 2). Our distribution targets include strategic libraries, archives, and institutions such as museums. We aim to finalize the placement of the Nouns cover Yearbooks by the end of 2023.
4. **Nouns 3D books** The NFT Yearbook will redefine Nouns DAO book projects (past and future) by converting them into interactive 3D readable books (just like the NFTYB). These can be minted and have augmented and virtual reality capabilities, allowing them to be read in virtual worlds. We will also offer consultation services for any future or past Nouns book-related projects, including topics such as printing and NFC chips.
5. **Open-source / free tools** We will provide the Nouns DAO community with priority access to our open-source 3D book creation software. This tool empowers artists and authors to craft immersive, interactive books, transforming their narratives into engaging three-dimensional experiences.
6. **Refund** If we fail to deliver and are unsuccessful in placing the 169 Nounish Yearbooks worldwide by Q1 2024, we commit to refunding the remaining value of the books directly to the DAO's treasury.

## The Impact
→ Spreading the love: Our initiative will place Nouns at the forefront of this influential book in 169 significant, strategically chosen public locations around the globe. This presents a tremendous opportunity to boost Nouns' brand recognition and secure its position as the face of this historical tome. In this way, we aim to enshrine Nouns as a guiding force within this critical domain for generations to come.
→ Supporting an innovative, bootstrapped web3 company that's striving to spearhead publishing 3.0, we aim to empower the next generation of web3 creators. Additionally, our efforts will bolster all past and future book-related initiatives within the Nounish community.
→ We are pioneering a fresh experience for past and future books created/sponsored by the DAO. Our team is actively working towards making all Metaverse Publishing books interactively compatible with online galleries, VR and AR platforms, and various Metaverse platforms, such as OnCyber. This effort underscores our commitment to leveraging emerging technologies to create engaging, interactive experiences.

## Budget Breakdown
**The total budget for this prop is 23.1955 ETH**
Here's how it will be allocated:
**Commission for Nouns cover:**
We will dedicate 3 ETH to commissioning an artist, through Prop House, to create three distinct versions of the cover.
**Production and Delivery of the Books:** The remaining funds, which total 20.1955 ETH, will be assigned to Metaverse Publishing for the production, printing, and global shipping of the Nouns Cover NFT Yearbooks. This allocation encompasses:
- Printing the hardcover ~6.9lbs books.
- Labor hours of:
- Co-writing the Nounish chapter/pages with the selected props' owner.
- Establishing the connections with the institutions/libraries and "closing" the deal of placing the Yearbooks in their permanent archives.
- Cost of delivery, which includes worldwide shipping and taxes.
The allocation is based on the public mint price of the book (0.1195 ETH per book), multiplied by the total number of books (169 books).
The funds will be transferred to the Metaverse Publishing multisig Safe wallet **and will be used only for the purposes stated above.** As mentioned before, the 1279 NFTYB's that were minted to date, and 78 1/1s on SuperRare, are pre-order funded by our community.

## Conclusion
The NFT Yearbook project is an innovative initiative to preserve and celebrate the vibrant, diverse, and rapidly evolving web3 community, and we need the Nouns DAO's support to cement its place among other historically important book archives globally.
The proposed budget of 23.1955 ETH will facilitate the production and delivery of the Nounish NFT Yearbook, both in digital and physical formats, and the placement of 169 Nouns NFT Yearbooks at strategic locations around the world. This endeavor will allow Nouns DAO to create a tangible and lasting global impact.
By supporting this project, Nouns DAO will contribute to a significant historical project, paving the way for the future of publishing in the web3 space. The NFT Yearbook is not only a snapshot of the current state of the NFT community but also a vision of the community's potential future achievements.
We appreciate your consideration of this proposal and eagerly look forward to potentially collaborating with NOUNS DAO on this meaningful project.
## Recap from prop 312: About The Book

A notable aspect of our project is its community-driven nature. **The book was co-written and co-curated by the community.** Each interviewee nominated other participants for the book, ensuring diversity, equality, and inclusivity.
We've also introduced a unique feature to increase engagement: **blank content spaces as rarity traits.** These spaces allow random NFT holders to contribute to the final version of the book, both digital and physical.

Being a 100% bootstrapped and small team, we've strived to ensure that all artists involved in the project can profit from their contributions by creating a 1:1 cover for the book, auctioned on SuperRare, with 100% of the profits returning to the artists.
To date, our [1/1 sales](https://superrare.com/series/0x1e3eac91085df57b4aa417b1471349d0bdb19152) have reached 58.150Ξ. Moreover, three artists were invited to SuperRare thanks to the NFT Yearbook project. 79 artists took part in the 1/1 covers and our all-time high sale was 10ETH by thr33som3s.
We're proud to announce that the NFT Yearbook was already collected by libraries at Harvard University/HBS, and the books will be placed in their permanent archives. This opportunity would already place the Nouns DAO cover yearbook in two of the most significant academic libraries globally, cementing its cultural significance.
