How will I do it? When will I know if I'm ready? It's honestly a rather tough question to ask oneself constantly. When I was 15, I took my first Computer Science course online nearly by accident, CS50x offered by HarvardX through the EdX platform. After watching the first lecture, I immediately dropped my Sociology elective and enrolled to Computer Science, not even realizing where it would take me. Before long, I found myself reading about the incredible feats that have been done in the technological world, the individuals born from such feats, it wasn't long before I idolized Bill Gates, Franklin Chan, Thomas Peterffy (in no particular order). It wasnt really because they were wildly succesfull, although I'm certain it helped that they were for me, to stumble upon their stories. However, what mattered to me most was that people like these had dreams, and gave it their all to author an adventure that, for better or worse, changed their world. I don't think my dream is something like starting the next Microsoft, being the first person from my country to visit the moon or change a world like wallstreet with automated trading. But I don't think I would ever be ok with the thought of settling for anything that sounds like any less than those. Inspired by a subject, which I fell in love with at the age of 15, I travelled across the world at the age of 17 which led me to the US at the age of 19. My particular goal is to continue enjoying my passion for technology, and maybe someday become an influential person capable of funding someone that resembles my cause in the future, or even better, a company that does so. Having co-founded and competed in the finals of a startup competition recently made me realize that Sillicon Valley might be just the right fit for my next step towards doing what I am most passionate about, perhaps even someday I would potentially enable others do what they love in tech. So well, just like Peter Dinklage said in his commencement speach, "Don't bother asking the world if you're ready, show it, do it. What did Becket say? Ever tried, ever failed, no matter, try again, fail again, fail better." Which is just what I intend to do as soon as I graduate.
