# 4.3 Fitting ellipse

iPeriGrain provides a tool to fit ellipse of each segments.

- The processing time for fitting ellipse depends on CPU and number of segments in the 2D image.
- Click "Fit" to proceed.
- After examing the fitted ellipses, if further ReSegment is needed, click "Close" to clean the fitted ellipses.
