# How to record screen with computer audio on a Macbook

To make a screen recording capturing the macbook sound (e.g. the sound of a video playing or a zoom call going on):

## Just once
* install and configure [iShowU Audio Capture](https://support.shinywhitebox.com/hc/en-us/articles/204161459-Installing-iShowU-Audio-Capture-Mojave-and-earlier-)
* add a new aggregated device on Audio MIDI Setup (on system preferences) and select macbook speakers and iShowU Audio capture
* call it "Screen Recording" for example

## When you want to record

* Select the new aggregated device on the output tab of "Sound"

* Open the QuickTime Player app
* Start a "New Screen Recording"
* Select as the audio output "iShowU Audio Capture"
* Record!
