# Guide to the CandiiShop - Minecraft SMP

### Java or Bedrock?
Java and Bedrock - 1.19.2
Use the vanilla client or fabric with the simple voice chat mod (see below).
### I have a cracked client, can I...?
User accounts are authenticated and anticheat is in place. Use whichever client you like, but if you're facing issues with a third party launcher try to play with vanilla before complaining in discord.
### How do I connect to the server?
To connect to the server you need to have your discord account linked with the correct role. Upon connecting to the server for the first time you'll be presented with a code you can DM to the bot: `Jesus-Vulpix#0270`
### How is night time skipped?
No need to leave the server to skip night, 50% of connected players in bed are enough to skip night. The more people that sleep the faster night progresses.
### Can I have a claim / region?
Not at the moment, we trust that players will be courteous enough to respect each others builds.
You CAN protect your chests and doors if you wish.
Some communal builds such as spawn are registered as a server/admin claim.
### Minecraft chat is showing my discord username, what gives?
The in game and discord chat is integrated. To provide a more consistent experience we format the chat to use Discord names. This might change if it causes too much confusion, you can still see the real MC usernames in the tab list and above other players.
### How do I hide myself from the map?
Use the command `/dynmap hide` and `/dynmap show` to toggle the visibility of your location on the live map.

## _Information about plugins_
### Daily Login Rewards
[Daily Rewards](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/dailyrewards-the-1-daily-rewards-plugin-on-spigot.93375/) are given to players for logging in each day, up to a max of 30 days.
Rewards include extra money, useful supplies and unique items that aren't obtainable in game.
To access the Daily Rewards gui use the command `/daily`
### McMMO
McMMO adds RPG features with [skills and abilities](https://mcmmo.org/wiki/Main_Page#Skills) by enhancing the native mechanics of the game.
There are currently 15 skills both passive and active which you should familiarise yourself with.
Players can party up to share XP gain and drops. As well as access to party specific features.
### Fancy Waystones
[Fancy Waystone](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/fancywaystones-the-best-teleporter-plugin-bungeecord-spigot-purpur-paper-velocity-airplane.94376/) are placed by mods throughout the server at main locations. Some of these need to be discovered (right clicked) to be used, you can also craft Teleport and Death books which will teleport you to a set waystone or to your last death location.
### AngelChest
[AngelChest](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/%E2%AD%90-angelchest-plus-%E2%AD%90-death-chests-graveyards.88214/) keeps your inventory in a chest locked to you when you die. You'll recieve the co-ords of your AngelChest in chat.
The chest will protect your items and XP for 5 minutes and then unlock. Once an additional 5 minutes has passed the items will drop onto the ground.
You can unlock your chest before the lock period expires.
### BlockLocker
[BlockLocker](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/blocklocker.3268/) is a simple chest and door protection system, just place a sign on the chest or door you want to protect.
You can use the additional lines on the sign to add usernames of any other player you'd like to share access with.
### Simple Voice (Proximity) Chat
[Simple Voice Chat](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/simple-voice-chat) allows players to use in game voice chat. It requires using the *fabric launcher* with the Simple Voice Chat [mod](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/simple-voice-chat/download/3571844) installed.

### Shopkeepers
You can create a [shopkeeper](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/shopkeepers.80756/) by first purchasing a Shopkeeper egg from `Commercial Permit Officer` at the spawn area.
When holding the egg right/left click to scroll through the shopkeeper types including `Selling`, `Buying`, `Trading` and `Book` shops. Selling and Buying automatically deal in diamonds. Trading lets you dictate trades for other items. Book shops let you sell written books (think scavenger hunts or secrets).
When you've selected the type of shopkeeper you want, with the egg in hand, right click a container such as a chest or barrel then right click the spot you'd like the shopkeeper to be placed.
Crouch and right click the new shopkeeper to access the settings. Once you fill a chest with items you'd like to trade they will appear in this gui and let you dictate the costs available to other players.
Trading shops will require you to place the item you want to trade for in the second row. You can also customise the appearance and type of your shopkeeper.
If you decide to delete your Shopkeeper the egg will be returned to your inventory.
### Economy
The main currencies on the server are diamonds and dollars ($).
Players are encouraged to create farms and trade the items for diamonds or other items of value with other players using a shopkeeper.
Some commands will cost money to run, for example `/spawn`.
- Making money
- Mobs have a chance to drop money when killed that can be picked up by players.
- There is a cap on the amount of money drops per minutes drops from Mobs to prevent abuse with mob farms.
- Players will also drop 10% of their money when they die, the money is dropped on the ground and not added to the DeadChest
- Server Shops
- There are several server shops available at the spawn area.
- Right click on the slab to open the shop gui.
- Shops are buy only for starting items like Torches, Food, Cobble and Planks. You can also buy/sell diamonds

## _Reporting Griefing or Bugs_
If you notice something that doesn't work, is exploitable or you suspect is configured incorrectly you can reach out to any of the Mods either in game or via discord.
Please include the actions you took and any messages, errors or outcome to help Mods understand the issue.
If your report is acted upon you will recieve an in game reward between $500 - $5000 and/or items as a thank you.
If you have been griefed or notice some suspicious activity please report it to Mods only, don't take any action yourself.
Griefing can be undone easily and all interactions in the world are logged. It's much harder to unravel the drama that arises from arguments.
Remember to respect the Mod's decisions. If you have a problem with a decision talk to `@candiivulpix#6664` or `@Crumbs#5743` in a DM.

## _Notes for mods_
### Teleporting to/from players
Teleport requests to another player: `/tpa <PlayerName>` or another player to you: `/tpahere <PlayerName>`.
Player must accept the request by running: `/tpaccept` or deny with: `/tpdeny`.
To return yourself or another player to the previous location run `/back <PlayerName>`. You can omit `<PlayerName>` to target yourself.
### Checking logs
Check the history of a location within a 5 block radius by running `/co near`, click on the arrows to navigate the pagination.
Alternatively if you want to check the history of a particular block running `/co inspect` will allow you to left *(block changes)* and right *(interactions & other data)* click anything you'd like to see the history of.
Running `/co inspect` a second time will disable the inspect mode.
### Detecting Cheaters
Cheating can be detected but keep in mind false positives are likely to occur especially for players with a high ping so don't be too hasty to ban/tempban. You'll get a notification in chat and the anticheat plugin already does a decent job at restricting suspect players. If the notifications keep coming and score is consistently 100-200+ than you can ban/tempban.
### Muting and Banning players
To mute a player *(maximum 1 hour)* run `/mute <PlayerName> 10m`. To unmute before the timer expires run the command again.
Players can be temporarily banned *(maximum 24 hours)* by running `/tempban <PlayerName> 1h [Reason (Optional)]`.
Players can be permanently banned by running `/ban <PlayerName>`.
### Checking Performance
Run `/tps` if you think the server is lagging. 20 is ideal anything less is a concern. Additionally run `/timings report` and send `@Crumbs#5743` the link to help discover what might be causing performance issues.
